Forgetting is our basic nature

Over the years, I have realized one important point and would like to note or record this point before I forget it, which is forgetting is our fundamental nature.

We eventually forget everything. Just a matter of time. Erasing memory is also considered essential in Buddhism, that separate discussion. But here we are selectively or unconsciously forgetting certain things and remembering others.

Indians seem to be good at forgetting. For example, Dec 16, 2012, a lot of rages roused against gang-rape incident in Delhi.  Now, no one even seems to be talking about it, as if it never happened. This was the event when thousands of youngsters walked on the street with a powerful united movement. Now it seems, it never happened, maybe because forgetting is our z z z z z z z z... .........
In the last six month in India, a lot of scams, people have forgotten all. It was the media who play with our memory. They remind and suddenly take things away from the site. No one seems to talk about it as if the matter is solved, maybe because the media is not interested in selling it. Still, we can not blame media as they are only working on our fundamental nature, that they know we will forget.

We forget our childhood friends, we forget our basic upbringing, we forget our parents, we forget the good things we learned in school. We forget our morals, and good things happened to us. Still, we seem to remember difficult times, or some lousy incident or another mistake. Why we do not apply this basic nature in forgetting our sorrows as well.
May be from one lifetime to another you will.
Just remember people will eventually forget u
even you will forget your self.
If you live longer you will forget your own days, so how can you expect others to remember you,

Not taking action assuming what others will think of you, is just a quick step, painful for some days. Still, the good part is that they will forget it.  So make a mistake, as no one is going to remember that you forgot your lines on stage or you have wet pants in school or slipped on shit, or shouting from someone in public. People will not even remember if u gave your everything for someone's one smile, or you gave someone your lunch when they were hungry, or you did their assignment leaving yours, blah blah...

Forgetting is our nature, and old have to be erased, and new has to be a reprint.
Learn it from the seashore. Every few secs they clean it.
Most of us have a heart of sand only. But sometimes, in exceptional cases and in a few places, your marks can stay for longer.

But these days most of us are only making sandcastle around costs, most hearts are like seashore, you are there only till next wave hits them. :)
