Bajara Rabari (Millet drink)

For those who enjoy Rajasthani cuisine but prefer minimal effort in the kitchen, I have a simple and delicious recipe for my favorite Bajara Rabari. This dish takes only 20 minutes to cook and 1 minute to prepare, and is packed with both flavor and nutrition.

To make it, mix half a cup of bajra flour with six cups of water, and add half a teaspoon of salt and half a cup of curd. Mix well and pour the mixture into an Instant Pot. Set it to Soup mode with the vent closed, and let it cook on high pressure for 20 min.

Once it is finished cooking, let it cool down before consuming. Alternatively, it can be enjoyed hot as a soup. This dish is perfect for those with busy lifestyles, and is both healthy and delicious – at least, in my opinion.

Ideally one can use any millet for this preparation. I have tested it with bajara and makkai.
